Bottomline Technologies is seeking a motivated Software Engineer-1 (UI) to join its engineering team in Bengaluru. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) while collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.
Key Responsibilities
Work across all phases of the SDLC including requirement gathering, planning, development, testing, documentation, and support
Collaborate with Product Owners to understand and implement requirements
Develop UI features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies
Write unit tests and perform UI testing using Cypress
Ensure code quality by following industry and organizational standards
Work independently with a proactive and positive mindset
Requirements
1–2 years of experience in software development
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Hands-on experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Nice to Have
Experience with Bitbucket or GitLab
Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence
Experience writing and executing Cypress tests
