Overview

Lead knownwell’s engineering organization as a hands-on Head of Engineering to build scalable, HIPAA-compliant healthcare systems, drive integrations, and ship production code alongside a small, high-impact team.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Flutter, React, and Java for full-stack development • Deep familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure, plus cloud cost optimization • Experience building integrations with healthcare systems (e.g., athenahealth APIs) and clinical workflows • Strong understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, and security in healthcare • Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and DevOps tooling • Comfort and enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) • Working knowledge of ML concepts, RAG, and production-grade AI implementations • Experience leading small distributed teams and hiring across geographies
