Overview

Experienced Android/SDK engineer needed to develop Kotlin/KMP networking features and maintain performance-critical C++ components for widely distributed Speedtest SDKs on a remote, contract basis.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience • 3+ years professional Android development experience • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or other cross-platform library design • C++ experience for performance-critical components • Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns • Experience with threading, concurrency and Android performance optimization • Familiarity with networking frameworks (OkHttp) and TCP/UDP/HTTP/S/WebSockets • Experience with unit, integration, load and stress testing • Strong debugging skills and Git-based workflows • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and telemetry
