About Sony Research India Sony Research India is the R&D arm of Sony Group, working across global research centers in Japan, US, Europe, and Asia. Our mission is to develop breakthrough technologies across AI, NLP, data analytics, entertainment, and electronics to support Sony’s vast business ecosystem. About the Role We are hiring highly motivated interns to support our research in Multilingual Translation, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Neural Machine Translation (NMT). You will collaborate with leading research scientists on cutting-edge problems like domain-specific translation in Indian and global languages, and low-resource language modeling.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to research on NMT for multilingual translation tasks.
Explore and prototype LLM-based models for content translation in the entertainment domain.
Work on model evaluation for domain-specific translation accuracy.
Collaborate with a global team of researchers and engineers.
Requirements
Education:
Ph.D. / Master’s in Computer Science
OR B.Tech/B.E. with strong project or internship experience in NLP or Deep Learning
Required Skills:
Solid understanding of Deep Learning, NLP, and Reinforcement Learning
Proficient in Python and PyTorch
Hands-on experience with LLMs, Foundation Models, and Translation Tasks
Bonus Skills (Good to Have)
Experience in Indian language machine translation
Strong mathematical foundation
Publications in top conferences (ACL, ICML, NeurIPS, AAAI)
